Soft Stronghold is a fake security application that shouldn’t be trusted under any circumstances. Soft Stronghold is distributed through the use of Trojans. The rogue enters the system without the user's knowledge or consent. Once inside, Soft Stronghold drops some registry keys and creates its own files which are later marked as infections. The program bombards the user with fake system scanners and security alerts that run everytime at startup in hopes of misleading the user. Every pop-up loaded by this scam announces about the security risk that can be fixed only using the “full” version of Soft Stronghold, which costs quite a bit of money.
