Trust Fighter should not be regarded as a reputable program because it is a clone of many other rogue anti-spyware programs, such as Trust Soldier, Safe Fighter, Trust Cop, Trust Warrior or Secure Fighter. TrustFighter uses the same graphic interface for its alert messages as it's predecessors and expects them to scare PC users into purchasing the program. This rogue anti-spyware continuously imitates scanning the system for malware and detects tons of them. By using misleading security reports and system notifications, Trust Fighter hopes to force people to pay their money for the removal of these non-existent threats.

The fake program Trust Fighter travels through PCs with help from trojans. These viruses download additional malware after breaking into the system. When it is in, Trust Fighter creates series of random files, which are harmless but are marked as threats by Trust Fighter scans. In order to remove these "threats" the “full” version is required.
