SecureKeeper

Information about SecureKeeper

SecureKeeper is a rogue anti-spyware program - a fake spyware remover, which uses malicious means both to spread and sell it's software. This parasite is yet another rogue from the so-called WiniSoft family. Like most modern rogues, SecureKeeper uses downloader trojans and drive-by downloads to infect systems. It relies on misleading advertising to trick users into purchasing it's "licensed version".

Once SecureKeeper infects the system you will witness numerous symptoms, including popups and fake system notifications, which "inform" you of various non-existent infections, fake system scans, which mark harmless files as threats, and browser hijacking. SecureKeeper may block Task Manager, Registry Editor, System Restore and even Safe Mode in hopes of preventing you from removing the scam. SecureKeeper might also block security programs from being functional.

SecureKeeper uses popups and fake system scans to trick you into thinking your system is infected. Once it's done that, SecureKeeper asks that you pay for the full version to remove the "threats".

There's nothing to gain from SecureKeeper, it will annoy you and make your computer expierience a living hell. Remove it as soon as possible.
