Personal Protector

Information about Personal Protector

Personal Protector is a new rogue anti-spyware program, which is really no different than any other modern fake security program. Personal Protector typically enters the system by using various trojans, which come in the form of fake flash downloads and the like. This parasite floods the user with misleading information to trick him into purchasing the "full version".

Once inside, this parasite starts displaying popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform the user of an infection or multiple infections present on the system. This information has no basis whatsoever, and should therefore be ignored. Personal Protector also performs fake system scans, which produce results full of false positives. After doing this, the parasite will suggest that the user should purchase the full version of Personal Protector in order to dispose of the non-existent infection.

Do NOT trust this program, and remove Personal Protector as soon as possible.

Eco Antivirus or Eco AntiVirus 2010 is a new rogue anti-spyware and a clone of the notoriously popular Green AV. Both Eco Antivirus and it's predecessor advertise themselves as eco-friendly security software - a ridiculous idea, which you can read more about on this parasite's home page (eco-av.com) (don't do that, by the way). Other than the absurdity, there's nothing special about Eco Antivirus - it uses trojans to enter the system, and relies on misleading information to trick users into...

There's nothing smooth about Smooth Defender 2009, except maybe for the way it smoothly scams money from gullible users. This program is a fake anti-spyware, which relies on illicit means, such as trojans, to enter the system, and relies on misleading information to trick users into purchasing it's so-called "full version". Upon entering the system, Smooth Defender 2009 floods the user with popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform him of an infection or multiple infections...
