Information about Good Memory

GoodMemory is a sneaky malware that will start pretending to be a reputable anti-spyware as soon as it reaches targeted PC. This fake defragmenter attempts to get your money in return for its ‘licensed’ version which is invented and definitely fake. Remove either trial or “full” version of GoodMemory and also contact your credit card company if you have already purchased it. Be aware that this malware may try to steal all your credit card details, so always have your security software updated.

GoodMemory virus may be installed manually or even without any permission of a user asked. This is done through affiliated trojans that ensure hidden infiltration of the malware and also useful make some modifications in order to let malware launch as soon as PC is rebooted. Then, computers attacked by Good Memory fake defragmenter start triggering popup alerts that contain misleading information, such as:

Requested registry access is not allowed. Registry defragmentation required
Read time of hard drive clusters less than 500 ms
32% of HDD space is unreadable
Bad sectors on hard drive or damaged file allocation table
GPU RAM temperature is critically high. Urgent RAM memory optimization is required to prevent system crash
Drive C initializing error
Ram Temperature is 83 C. Optimization is required for normal operation.
Hard drive doesn’t respond to system commands
Data Safety Problem. System integrity is at risk.
Registry Error – Critical Error

These bogus system alerts will be followed by scanners also telling about hard disk problems detected. However, as you may have already realized, GoodMemory is useless in finding any problem of hard disk and fixing them. Besides, If you try to launch legitimate programs that are installed on your computer, you may find yourself disabled from launching them by such alert:

Windows cannot find notepad.exe . Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.


So, the only good way to stop GoodMemory virus is to remove its files.  Paying for its ‘commercial’ software will fail to resolve your hard disk problems and will lead to further system performance deterioration and slowdown.
