Control Center is an ordinary rogue with an ordinary name and it's only peculiarity is that it does not simply lie about being a great security program - it claims it can do everything, from anti-spyware to firewall and system optimization. There really is nothing special about this parasite: much like any other rogue, it uses various trojans to enter the system. It also relies on misleading advertising to trick users into purchasing it's "licensed version", which is just as ineffective as the so-called trial.

Control Center floods the user with regular and tray popups, disinforming him on the existence of an infection on the system. While the fact that such popups are displayed do not make the possibility that the system is indeed infected obsolete, there is no basis for such claims and they should therefore be disregarded. Control Center also performs fake system scans, which produce results full of false positives - legitimate files marked as threats. All of this is done in order to sell the fake full version of the program.
