Malware is a term used to describe malicious software. In other words, it is any program or file that is harmful to a computer user. Malware includes rogue programs, Denial of Service attacks, Ping of Death attacks, ICMP attacks, http overload attacks and other malicious intrusive attacks. It also includes keyloggers, Trojan viruses and computer worms. Usually, Malware is installed without user’s consent and performs undesirable or harmful actions. Most of the time it comes bundled with other applications (usually file sharing programs) or from misleading websites pretending to be software (very often a video codec) needed to view the content of that website.
